- Has an older brother, Harry, who is gay and recently broke up with his boyfriend Charli.
- Was at St. Bart's with a woman named Bailey, (who, depending on timeline/verse/etc, was the one who introduced her to Holmes)
- Served with the Royal Army Medical Corps, attached to The Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, 2nd Battalion. She was wounded in the shoulder during contact with the enemy in Helmand Province, Afghanistan.
- Medically discharged, formally diagnosed with PTSD, psychosomatic tremors in her hands, and a psychosomatic limp severe enough to require the use of a cane. She habitually describes the limp as idiopathic rather than psychosomatic to avoid people judging her for a problem that's "all in her head."
- Is, in general, wound a bit tighter than she really ought to be.
- Has a weakness for Jaffa cakes. Takes her tea with milk and her coffee black with no sugar.
- She dates - frequently, actually, generally nice ordinary men who don't last long. It's not her, it's them. Or maybe it's her. Deep down, she tries not to care that it might be her.
- Does not identify as a lesbian, in case anyone out there actually cares, but between having been a woman in the armed forces and living with Holmes she doesn't know why she even bothers mentioning as much anymore. :|
- Occasionally wears a bracelet which she bought while in Afghanistan. Feel free to have your character notice that she's doing so.
- I know 63! Characters aren't everyone's bag. Don't feel obligated to tag back if you don't want to, no hard feelings ever.
- Watson doesn't have a single specific Holmes with whom she plays. It makes most sense in my head for Holmes to also be a swap, so that is what I default to in narration if I am referring to an "NPC" type Holmes. But if your character knows Holmes as a guy and you'd like to stick to it, feel free, I will roll with it. Regardless of Holmes's gender, I don't particularly ship them.
